## The All-In-One (or two)
An *All in One* is mainly a nappy that does not need you to do anything further. It works just like the disposable ones. The soaker is created to be as part of the nappy and can be fixed firmly using snaps or Velcro.
An *All in Two* is similar except that the soaker is removable. You may get an extra use out of this nappy for when the baby pees you can remove the soaker from a pocket and replace it with a dry one.
A pocket styled nappy usually does not require any cover as it is created with a polyurethane laminate or very close type of material. The material on the inside is made of microfleece, velour, cotton or bamboo. The choice of material will determine the dryness of a baby. Nappies like this are usually sewn with an opening for insertion of materials that are good for absorption like microfiber or hemp.
## What a Fitted Nappy Means
This type of nappy is made of cotton, hemp and fleece and sewn together but without the waterproof layer. Therefore it will need an additional cover layer. The cover is important to avoid the baby's pee leaking through to the furniture or onto your lap.
## Prefold
Prefolds are those plain rectangular cloths that are folded into 3 areas. There are 4 layers of material on the outside and 6 or 8 layers on the inside. The fabrics that are commonly used are again cotton, hemp, bamboo, and etc. These nappies are awesome for pocket stuffing and extra absorbency when necessary.
A good idea is to look for bulk nappies. Since you will always be going through nappies during your child's early years, getting nappies wholesale would represent good savings. It may cost more upfront but over the long haul and especially if you have more kids, you will appreciate having lots on hand or even for when you have your friends and their babies over for a visit.
